Pet Portraits Are My Passion
I have always loved drawing and painting but not until recently have I had the time to pursue it diligently.
Another love has always been animals, and in particular dogs, cats and parrots. My mother was a kind soul who allowed me to keep “found strays” (well, maybe I found them under a FREE KITTENS sign) when I was a child and we always had at least one dog.
As an adult I’ve become active with dog rescue groups as well as parrot rescue, and my art helps to support those efforts by supporting No Kill Shelters. 30% of proceeds are donated to help dogs find a second chance at life.
Sorry, I have no fancy art training resume to post here; books, trial and error, dvd training courses – that’s it. Looking at other pet portraits and trying my best to mostly tune in spiritually and capture the essence of the animal.
